The Book of Eli_Denzel Washington
What else can be said except excellent, Denzel Washington with co-star Mila Kunis pull it all together in this apocalyptic tale which spells out the idea of human preservation quite clearly. This movie has everything, action, a great story, CG, and good acting. The Hughes brothers totally knocked this one out the park, but who could'nt with a story line like this one. The movie throws you a total twist at the end which caps it all off. Mila Kunis as co-star did a great job portraying a destitute young woman who has a need to get out and experience the world following after Washington to literally the end of their world. Go see it, it's all that and a bag a chips 10 out of 10 says IGEM.
World's Greatest Dad_starring Robin Williams_on DVD
The title is as ironic as the movie, right down to the last scene this is how you can describe World's Greatest Dad. Robin Wiliams sets out to be the innocent Dad raising an abusive teenager, then something goes wrong. This mishap is used by Williams to gan popularity but through his ironic soar to stardom comes the reality of what actually happened. As quickly as his popularity is gained it's lost, but the ironic situation still emerges with hope and satisfaction right down to the last scene. I'm not a fan of this well conceived ironic comedy but its not because it was poorly written or acted out, it's just not my flavour. It's not for young kids but teenagers may learn some lessons about the do's and don't of adolescenece and experimentation. For that reason 7 out of 10 says IGEM.
Law Abiding Citizen_Jamie Fox
This movie doesn't add to the firey exciting personality that we see with Jamie Fox. As a fan of his multiple talents I am use to his fire and exciting acting skills, this role brings it down a few notches. Fox as a calculating cool lawyer isnt the best role for him, but without saying much more. It's worth a dvd rental when the time comes, a night at the movies? Maybe not anyways 6.5 out of 10 says IGEM.
Extract Essence_On DVD_Starring Justin Bateman and Mila Kunis
Justin Batemen always adds his own innocent sense of humor to every role he plays and this movie is no different. In "Extra Essence" he get's you to laugh as a naive businessman that is being set up for the take. We won't spoil the movie by telling you the outcome to his adoloescent minded moves except to say it's pretty funny. Mila Kunis what can we say, her girlish charm is just right to play the part of a devious vixan who easily damages the male ego. It's a funny movie to rent, not neccessarily a site down with the family and watch sort of movie but it can pass, rent it for a subtle laugh. 7 out of 10 says IGEM.
"Partners in Poetry"
Be inspired by this duo from Brampton, Ontario, Canada youth with a message through spoken word. These two are fantastic and they do it for fun. When will they start writing songs? Hmmm?
District 9_On DVD
District 9 starring Sharlto Copley and Directed by Neill Blomkamp. If any of you readers are like me when you saw the advertisements for this movie in the summer of 2009 you said wow that looks cool, "Gotta See it". So you go to the movie awaiting a sci-fi movie with a bunch of crazy special affects and the first 30 minutes your just totally confused, some people even walked out of the theatre, they missed it. I had to watch it again on DVD to remind myself why I liked it so much when I saw it at the theatre. First it wasn't set in big city USA; New York, LA or Miami, No No No it's set in Johanessburg South Africa and it freaks you out from the beginning, it's unpredictable, creative, unsuspecting and has the special affects your looking for but not all CG. Ok so some parts are gross, if your squimish and aliens bother you then this movie ain't for you. Sci-Fi people will love this one and some parts ar
Bad Lieutenant_Starring Nicolas Cage
This Movie is still in the Theatres it stars Nicolas Cage, Eva Mendez, Val kilmer, and Xzibit just to name few and directed by Werner Herzog. This ironic cop drama very much plays out like a Quentin Tarantino movie with one thing missing "Quentin". I wasn't sure how I felt about this movie, it had alot of hardcore drugs, swearing, sexual suggestions (no nudity). So if your into that ok, buy a ticket and go see it. I evaluated it based on Nicolas Cages character in Snake Eyes, Cop movie VS.

Star Trek-By JJ Abrams
So your a Trekky or maybe not, doesnt matter this movie is big. I have been through all the Star Trek Movies (no age date please) and seen all the originals with William Shatner. Annoyed my friends for years watching it and finally got them hooked I even remember Captain Kirk and his green love (by the way replayed in this Star Trek ) so I know my Star Trek.
Inglourious Basterds-On DVD
If your not a Tarantino fan, "Stay Away"!!!! His stuff is always crazy if you like Tarantino, you'll love this movie. Brad Pitt is the star of the movie but he doesn't take the movie over his character shows up and does what he needs to do at the right time.
